The air in the chilled room was uncomfortable, though sweet scents of pastries and books wafted around the shop, giving it an odd atmosphere. The clerk, rather short and wearing a fox-like mask, added to the unsettling nature of the shop. Half bakery and half bazaar, and only open during certain mortal holidays, this place felt like it didn't belong in Raise City somehow.
