SPRING UPDATES

We have a little bit to cover so I’ll do my bet to organize the updates into categories !
NOTE: Since some of the changes change images you will need to HARD refresh for example for firefox you’ll need to hold [ ctrl + shift + r ] this should update the images on the site for you!

The casino has been redesigned to an arcade. The employee at the counter is a very tired baby. They enjoy the Arcade’s mascot a lot and are often never seen without some kind of merch on their person.

  • New dreamland ticket design. ( Replacing Daily Den Tickets )
  • Lottery chips renamed to Dream Tokens.
  • New intro+ new NPC image.
  • Monthly tickets readded [ Spring active currently! ] [ CURRENT MONTHLY RAFFLE 2 WINNERS: Prize: Myo slot with x2 floral class/x2 Corrupted Alterations or lower. ]
  • New crane game added [ PONKS!


SC.CO got a minor update in the form of a new staff member Aix taking over and will be the main CEO running SC.CO for the foreseeable future. He’s very friendly, don't worry about the eyes!

  • Removed Daily den ticket.


The cafe area got a new owner and a makeover. Bean the new owner is super excited to meet you all. She’s been hard at work baking new items for you all.

To celebrate Hyexur’s birthday we are doing color your own design raffles! Please join the discord server here to participate ~! UPDATES: Issues, adopts, features +

Hey everyone, I'm so sorry for the lack of updates here. I thank everyone for your patience in this time as it means the world to me. I've updated on TH to explain my absence, so I will not go into details here. However, the last couple of months have been very hard on me and my family, and it's slowed down a lot of progress towards the site. Thank you for your patience again in this regard. Today, I'm going to share some miscellaneous updates, a rough timeline, some upcoming stuff, and go over known issues.
 
Known issues:
I'm aware of the issues some are having with the S.O.S shards not crafting. I've worked with several to try to fix this issue with no luck. I'm currently looking for a solution. Please stand by.
 
Images: I had uploaded multiple images to Discord. I was vaguely aware they were going to stop allowing them to be linked outside for long but assumed I had time to fix everything. Thanks to IRL things, I didn't have the time to fix them, and now a fair few of the site's images are broken. I'm in the process of uploading them to File Garden and fixing them accordingly. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
 
Upcoming features/timeline, etc.:
A while ago, I was able to update certain features of the site to allow for the update to the 'casino' (being rebranded to arcade) as well as some daily features. This update was going to be out in Feb but has thus been pushed back to March/April. Coming with this update will be the new arcade, as well as collectible plushies and the start of the new pet system. We'll also be updating a few minor bits of art and updating some NPCs as we move forward to better capture the feel of magical girls. I'll also be re-working and working with a coder for updating our UI. (This is already in the works but has been delayed due to my IRL.) I hope that soon we'll have it but until then, I'll be making minor updates overall to the site's UI on my own to better suit the site again as a whole.
 
Adopts:
I'll be posting a few adopts; this is a mixed bag of what was meant to be Feb adopts + old WIPs I won't use + unsold designs. I'll be posting them tonight a little after this post, but wanted to give a heads up they will be FCFS; some are finished while others are semi-MYOs, so keep that in mind.
 
Extra little notes:
Thank you all so much for your support; there are a few people waiting on PYOP's that I'll be working on this week to finish so if you need any color changes now is the time to DM me for them. You are all amazing; thank you truly for allowing me this time to mourn and mend my mental health. It means so much to me that I'm able to have such an amazing community that cares for me. I hope to be fully back on my feet soon. I'm planning on streaming again and I have so many goodies for y'all in the works.

Happy holidays! Thank you all so much for the past couple of months and for your patience as we rolled out each update. I have plenty more planned to share with everyone in the coming year!
 
In the meantime, make sure to check out Papa North's Shop and claim your Holiday 2023 goodie bag, which includes candy canes, a variety of miscellaneous collector items, and previews of our upcoming Plushie collections. These items are exclusive to 2023 and will be available for purchase next year in North's store!
 
Currently, we have three new raffles happening:

Please be sure to read through each ticket before making a purchase.
 
If you need more candy canes to enter the raffles, here's how:
1. Turn in Monthly Tickets (Note: this will delete them from your inventory).
   - Go to 'submit.'
   - Click 'submit claim.'
   - For the reward, click 'currency' and specify how many candy canes (1 per ticket).
   - Under add-ons, add the tickets.
 
2. Foraging:
   - There is an increased chance of finding candy canes from now until the New Year.
 
3. Turn-ins:
   - 1 Candy Cane per turn-in.
 
This mini-holiday event is designed to be low-stress and low-cost for everyone.
 
Small F.A.Q:
 
Why are the tickets limited?
- To ensure a fair chance for everyone entering raffles.
 
Can I win two or more raffles?
- No, if you win more than one, you must forfeit one, and the name will be re-rolled.
 
Can I enter this raffle if I've won sometime in the last 3 months?
- Yes.
 
Will there be more raffles this year using candy canes?
- No.

Will there be more items in Norths store than this?
- Yes, on new years I'll put an item up for each class trait so they can be bought. This will be a one night thing with each item being [5] Candy Canes.

Spooky Scary... [OCT EVENT CLOSE]

Good evening, everyone!

We have a few exciting updates to share with you this spooky season, and we're keeping it simple this time around.

OCT SITE EVENT:

The Seasonal shop is now fully stocked and offers not only a wide variety of seasonal goodies but also includes a MYO slot and a knife for purchase.

The raffle is now live, and if you'd like to participate, simply purchase a ticket from our friendly fox over at the seasonal shop!

The event will end in NOV but the shop will carry items a little bit into NOV so you can spend your candy accordingly! Candy is only used once a year.

NEW ADOPT BATCH DROP:  Within the next day or so! Along with an OTA. These will be a mixed bag of spooky inspired design! 

MISC SITE UPDATES:

  • We've introduced new traits.
  • Addressed certain issues with items, such as fixing lop/ram, and made corrections to minor spelling mistakes.
  • Fixed broken links.
  • Adjusted art to ensure it displays the correct pet/item.
  • Carried out multiple edits to the Masterlist, adding the soul gems trait to each Bae and resolving any issues related to incorrect traits or duplicated listings.
  • The Masterlist now accurately reflects all current Mahoubae.

Timed Out Issues

  • I know of the issues, I'm trying my best to work with dreamhost on them. Please give us time. You do not need to report the timed out errors as we are very aware of them right now Thank you ! Until then please enjoy this free lil Mahoubae base I made :,)

EDIT: My suggestion for now is to make sure your broweser data is refreshed + just refresh until the page loads. I know this is a struggle rn but please bare with us as we figure out the issue. Once fully fixed I'll be giving everyone an extra 50 DC to everyone to make up for the site lag.

Beach Episode: July Update!

Good evening, everyone! Miku here to update you all on the exciting things happening around the site. We are pleased to announce that we think we'll be able to leave beta very soon. We're hoping for next month or September. Until then, though, I have some updates for you all!


 
 First and foremost, we are pleased to announce the first monthly prompt! This one is beach-themed for the summer and will last until the end of August. We'll also start doing weekly prompts once a few behind-the-curtain things are fixed up, so expect them in the next smaller update. For now, if you need help submitting a prompt, please let us know, and if you have any prompt suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

 New items in shops! There are three new items in shops: a cashout ticket for the Lottery Den, and two new items - one craftable and one editable - in Kit's Cafe.
 
 
Three new traits have been added. Two of these traits were suggestions from our users, while one was already slated to be added. You can view the new traits under the 'Misc' category on the traits page. "Multiple Gems" was suggested by 2Dpocky, while "Smoke" was suggested by Mad! If you have suggestions, please note that while they might not always be implemented, I'd love to hear them all the same.
 
There are now new summer pets! All summer egg items have been updated with these new pets, with them having a slight increase in popping out compared to the other designs. We also have a new pet species, 'Kitkits'! Their baby [egg] items can be found in normal forages and summer forages. They also have craftable designs. There's been a lot of pets added this update, but if you see your scaled egg wiggle, I think they might be close to hatching in the next big update.
 
One new craftable item has been added alongside multiple craftable pets. This item is a choice item, meaning once crafted, you will get a drop-down to pick what pet you'd like to get~!
 
New adopts, new raffles, and more, oh my! New adopts will be posted later today following this announcement, and the new raffle will be posted next week (around Friday). I also plan to do another smaller raffle soon, so keep an eye out.
 
To finalize this update, we've done a few backend changes and added a lot of things to help with the planned update in September. We'll be stepping closer to our first event then, and I'm excited to share what's in store.
 
Bugs fixed:
  • Minor spelling mistakes across the site.
  • Items not working as intended.
  • Comment issues on tickets/claims.
  • Other backend issues/errors.
 
And I think that's it! Thank you all so much for your support. Things have been hectic, but I'm so excited to see things finally falling into place as we move on in the year. I hope that the next season will bring us a lot of excitement! And... even some scares~!

Important Updates and Beach Opening!

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a fantastic day today. We have a few important things to cover, so please read through this email carefully to ensure you're fully informed.
 
First and foremost, let's start with a reminder about treating our staff with respect. Please refrain from being rude, hurtful, or mean towards any of our team members. This includes making negative comments about their art or creations. We have a zero-tolerance policy for backhanded remarks or snide comments. If you have any dislikes, please keep them to yourself or kindly propose ideas for what you'd like to see instead. We strive to foster a positive environment, and putting down art or concepts is simply rude and unnecessary.
 
Now, onto the exciting updates! We are delighted to announce that all major bugs have been fixed. However, if you happen to come across anything unusual, please let us know immediately by sending in a bug report. Your feedback is invaluable in ensuring a smooth user experience.
 
In other news, I'm thrilled to inform you that the beach is now open to the public! The beach is a beloved summer destination in Raise City, and thanks to the generous support of the Lottery Den, all drinks and relaxation amenities are covered. Each visit to the beach requires lottery tokens, but it's a small price to pay for a delightful and rejuvenating vacation.
 
Who knows, while you're at the beach, you might even befriend an adorable little slotter! Rumor has it that they emit the most adorable sounds imaginable.
 
Speaking of vacations, please note that our site owner will be away until Tuesday. Rest assured, everything will continue to run smoothly, but there may be slight delays in certain areas of the site, such as ticket responses, MYO approvals, and quests. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Exciting Updates, Fixes, and New Additions

Hey everyone!
 
Welcome to our latest news update. We've got a bunch of things to cover, so let's jump right into it.
 
Issues fixed:
  •  Reports giving 500 errors.
  •  Icons not being able to be uploaded on mobile.
  •  Forum posts not being able to be edited.
  •  FTO's not being able to see /foraging and not being able to forage.
  •  Plus a host of other issues/bugs.
Known issues:
  •  Footer is still wrong on profiles.
 
Now, onto the exciting changes. I'm going to keep this pretty simple and sweet, but there's some ground to cover, so buckle up.
 
 
Both Kit's Cafe and SC.HQ have some items now. Though SC.HQ only has a few items, but definitely check both shops out if you have time.
 
 
Thanks to the amazing Smolrobin, we have a new pet species! Please check out the Fleeceara, including a crafted one! These have been added to foraging!
 
 
Lost & Found is now public! Please enjoy the donated items and feel free to donate items to it. You can find it under Browse -> Shops -> Lost & Found.
 

And another huge thank you to Smolrobin again who designs Mahoubae's emotes! You too can have some amazingly cute emotes as they are bases you can grab right now. You can also commission robin to do your Mahoubae on them instead if your not an artist ~. Please go check them out Robin just did an amazing job on them. 
 
 
 
Other changes:
  • Some site art has changed. (Please Ctrl + Refresh to see changes if you don't already!)
  • Retrieval assignments! Are now live earn some soul tokens by going to activity -> Retrieval assignments ~ Turn in items every 24 hours.
 
Upcoming Changes:
These are things you'll see sooner rather than later, so please keep an eye out.
  • New items added.
  • New forage location. / Changing on what items you can find while foraging.
  • This month's raffle.
  • A new... foxy pet.
  • As well as some changing up on the Nav bar yet again.

Updates and News - End of May Update!

Hello everyone,
Good evening and welcome to our final May update! We've got plenty of exciting things to cover, so hold on tight!

Site Changes:

We've made some minor tweaks to the site:

  •     Most icons are now rounded squares instead of circles.
  •     Minor UI adjustments have been made.
  •     We've introduced a featured character area that will change monthly.
  •     Added seasons and weather to enhance your experience.
  •     Made minor edits to the artwork across the site.
  •     Navigation and footer have undergone some rearrangements, including the ability to submit art directly from the dropdown.

 

 Bug Fixes:

We've addressed a few bugs:

  •    Fixed the issue causing a 500 error when making new claims.
  •    Resolved the bug preventing the sorting of personal characters.

Known Bugs:

There are a couple of known issues we're working on:

  •    The footer on profiles is out of place and needs adjustment.
  •     "/team" leads to a 500 error.
  •      Recipe's not being able to be redeemed, please submit a claim and we'll manually add your recipe until then.

Now, let's dive into the more substantial changes:

 

Shops:

SC.HQ, Lottery Den, and Kit's Cafe are now fully equipped with hosts and are ready for items. In the next update, our focus will be on adding items for you to buy and enjoy.

User Shops:

We're excited to announce that users can now create their own shop to sell goods. Get ready to showcase your products!

Foraging:

Get ready to explore and discover! You can now forage for goodies. While there aren't many options available just yet, we hope you enjoy what's already there. Each day, you'll have 5 Stamina to use, and you'll need to select a character to embark on these adventures.

*Note: In the future, FTO will have the opportunity to do this exclusively with NPCs!

Crafting:

Introducing crafting! We've added a basic crafting system to the game, allowing you to create a few things. As time goes on, we plan to expand this feature and offer even more exciting crafting possibilities.


Pets:

We're thrilled to announce that some adorable pets have been added to the game. There's a wide variety to choose from, and you can view them all here! We'll be continuously adding more options and exploring ways to provide unique pets or even design custom ones for the entire site. Stay tuned for more details, but for now, we hope you enjoy the pets we've released!


Emotes: 
Robin has added a few more new emotes as well as edited them to be a lot more crisp please go check them out here!

Monthly Raffle Results: May!
Congrats to K-A-Karma who won the monthly raffle design this month!
Starting June 1st you’ll see a new design as well as a new ticket you can grab for free in the Lottery Den so make sure to check!

Second Chance.co Updates: What's New in Our World!

Dear Beta Team,

I hope this email finds you all in good spirits. I wanted to take a moment to provide you with some exciting updates and share our vision for the future of our magical company.


Firstly, we are pleased to announce that the Lottery Den is now officially open! Here are some things you can do there,

  • Buy Raffle tickets.
  • Daily free [LC]. 
  • Get any voucher tickets for downtime. ( For now, this will be moved at a later date. )
  • And much more to come.

We also want to apologize for the random downtime (timed out errors). We have hopefully fixed it with Dreamhost and have provided downtime ticket vouchers in the Lottery Den until May 20th. ( If you miss this let us know and we'll award your account accordingly. )
